I tape whatever I'm interested in and usually with the artist's permission. ;-) I tape for my own collection and to share with friends. When possible I send copies to the band or their management. NO TAPES ARE EVER SOLD!! No shows are traded with suspected Bootleggers. I do this to preserve the music and spread the word of the music I enjoy.
